Part-Qualified Job duties:
- The Senior finance accountants job will be to provide timely, cohesive and accurate reporting, analysis and insight of financial performance ensuring the relevant people are well informed to allow decisions to be made.
- Constructively challenging and re-evaluating reporting requirements to improve efficiency and commerciality.
- Support Finance Business Partner on all regular finance reporting providing accurate, informative analysis.
- Accountable for ensuring the calculation and posting of accurate journals for the division.
- Liaise and support Financial Accounting Manager with timely and accurate IFRS16 accounting.
- Accurate month end cost reporting and variance analysis for business channel, providing detail and clarity on monthly cost variances.
- Support the Finance Business partners in the creation of budgets and forecasts, including the impact of full year and one-off costs.
- Preparation of balance sheet review, including commentary on key areas of the balance and reason for movement.
- Supporting with year-end Group and statutory audits.
The part-qualified job role will suit:
- This role will interest a Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) who has the ability to provide clear and concise reporting and analysis.
- A numerate individual with a background in financial and/or management accounting.
- A Part-Qualified Accountant or studier or a Part-Qualified Accountant from practice who is looking to make a move into industry will also be considered.
- Strong Excel and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to de-mystify financial performance and provide clear and concise reporting and analysis resulting in balanced guidance and judgement
- Ability to work under own directive as well as the wider team
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
- A part qualified/qualified accountant who understands the financial implications of decisions and can make sound recommendations accordingly
- Solid understanding of the balance sheet, and the difference between creditors and accruals, and clarity over standard accounting and double entry
