A high-flying recruiter who launched her own specialist accountancy and finance recruitment consultancy seven months ago says she has been “absolutely overwhelmed” by the support received. Clare Dear, Director of Vardey Recruitment, had her first starter just a fortnight after registering her business on February 1. Married and with a daughter, she began her career in London 22 years ago, relocating to Bournemouth in 2007. Vardey Recruitment recruits within the UK, initially in Dorset and surrounding counties but with plans to move further afield including London. It works across the entire accountancy and finance sector, from entry level jobs through to senior qualified appointments. Clare said: “Launching a recruitment business during a pandemic and various lockdowns and school closures was always going to be a challenge for me, but I’m pleased to say it’s been a very positive start.
“I’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the support and commitment of previous contacts and clients who have worked with me over the past seven months.
“One highlight was finding a candidate for a job within a few weeks, where previously the company had been struggling to fill the role for over 18 months.
“We’re honest, reliable, down to earth and we will deliver.”
